12 Best Wedding Venues in Boulder, Longmont and Lyons (2026 Guide)

·6 min read

Boulder County's venue median is $3,500 (n=11), the same as Denver's, and that number needs a warning label.

It is the median of each venue's lowest published price. In Boulder County that lowest price is very often a weekday, an off-season month or a micro-wedding package. The Saturday in June that most couples have in mind costs a good deal more: $6,990 at The Simon, $8,500 at The St Vrain, $10,000 at Lyons Farmette, $11,400 at Shupe Homestead. So read $3,500 as the price of the door, not of the wedding most couples picture.

What the county does better than almost anywhere in Colorado is farms. Flower farms, organic farms and regenerative farms with Longs Peak on the horizon make up a large share of the inventory, and several of them are unusually relaxed about who you bring in.

We cataloged 33 wedding venues across Boulder, Longmont, Louisville, Lafayette and Lyons. Below are the 12 we would point a couple to first.

Every venue below is in our Boulder wedding venue directory, where you can filter the full list and see published pricing side by side.

The farms

1. Shupe Homestead

Manicured grounds, a pond, waterfalls and ceremony sites facing Longs Peak and Mount Meeker, with a climate-controlled indoor hall. The package is unusually complete: coordinator, event manager, bartenders, service staff, china, glassware, linens and the venue's decor are all included.

  • Tuesday $9,065, Thursday $9,535, Sunday $10,700, Friday $10,900, Saturday $11,400, each for up to 100 guests
  • $45 per guest above 100
  • Intimate Tuesday package $7,500 for under 30 guests

The headline is high, but compare it to a venue rental plus a coordinator plus bar staff before you rule it out.

2. Lyons Farmette

A working organic farm in Lyons with a 2,500-square-foot heated and air-conditioned barn, flower fields, a farmhouse and an Airstream for getting ready, and a commercial kitchen. Every rental runs noon to 11pm:

  • Monday to Thursday $6,500
  • Sunday $8,250, Friday $9,000, Saturday $10,000

Capacity tops out at 125.

3. Boulder Flower Farm

A ten-acre flower farm about 10 minutes from Boulder, growing for more than 35 years, with a flagstone patio, a grape arbor and a fire pit. $3,500 plus $120 per guest, up to 100, and the rental includes up to five buckets of the farm's own stems and arrangements.

At 100 guests that is $15,500, so it is not the cheap option the base number suggests. But the flowers come with it and there is no required vendor list. It is booking tours for 2027 and 2028.

4. Pine Cone Avenue Social

A family-owned botanical farm with xeric gardens, sunflower fields, a solar greenhouse, an iron gazebo and a historic train car. Built for small weddings:

  • Elopement from $2,000 for 10 or fewer, including a cake
  • Wedding package from $3,800 for up to 50, with tables, linens, florals and favors

You can bring your own caterer, your own drinks, or simply food you prepared yourself.

5. Crane Hollow Farm

A secluded farm with a pond, a mini island and Longs Peak views, for up to 50 guests (pets welcome). $1,800 for a 10-hour block, with drop-off the day before and pickup the day after, and $200 per extra hour.

It is a bare site: tents, tables and chairs are on you. For a small wedding with a rental company already in mind, it is the best price in the county.

6. Yellow Barn Farm

A landmarked 100-acre regenerative farm in the foothills with a barn seating 80 and a tent for 150, and a coordinator with more than 400 weddings behind them. It publishes a total spend of $20,000 to $40,000 for a complete wedding weekend, which is more honest than a rental fee that leaves out everything else.

The halls

7. The St Vrain

An early-1900s brick landmark in Longmont with wood trusses, chandeliers, two full floors and a furnished courtyard.

  • Off season (November to April): $4,500 Monday to Thursday, $6,000 Friday and Sunday, $7,500 Saturday
  • Peak (May to October): $5,500, $7,500, $8,500
  • July 4th and New Year's Eve $11,000

You must pick from its catering partners and use at least a day-of coordinator, and each hour past 10pm costs $1,000.

8. The Simon

A newer industrial venue in downtown Louisville with garage doors, a speakeasy lounge and a balcony. Eleven hours of access, two bars and bar staff are included.

  • December to March: $4,000 Friday or Saturday
  • November and April: $3,600 Sunday to $4,990 Saturday
  • May to October: $4,600 Sunday, $5,990 Friday, $6,990 Saturday
  • Small wedding for up to 40: $3,500

A winter Saturday at $4,000 is $2,990 less than a summer one, for the same building.

9. Bestow Events

A Longmont venue with four spaces, glass garage doors and an outdoor garden, and no required vendor list. Weekdays run $3,500 off season and $4,500 in peak, and the building also rents by the hour, from $270 for the Parlor to $570 for the whole building.

10. The Studio

A Boulder coworking space with 2,900 square feet of industrial character and a vintage Airstream lounge. Full events from $3,600 for eight hours with staff, up to 300 guests, and weekday micro weddings for up to 35 at $250 an hour. Bring your own caterer and bartender.

Downtown Boulder

11. Hotel Boulderado

The landmark hotel a block from Pearl Street, with its grand staircase and Victorian interiors. Packages include dinner and an open bar, and an all-inclusive option adds a florist, DJ and coordinator. Pricing on request.

12. Chautauqua Dining Hall

The 1898 dining hall at the foot of the Flatirons, with a wraparound porch and catering and lodging on the same property. Pricing on request.

Others worth a look

Lionsgate Event Center in Lafayette has hosted weddings since 1990 across a 1927 house, a barn hung with 32 chandeliers and a ballroom, and can add a mountain ceremony at Sunrise Amphitheater ($3,500 to $4,500) or Blue Sky Mountain Ranch ($5,000 to $7,000) with transport. It requires one of its planning packages, from $2,500. St Julien Hotel & Spa holds 230 on its lawn or in its ballroom. Planet Bluegrass in Lyons is the festival grounds on the St. Vrain River, for up to 250. The Boulder Dushanbe Teahouse is the most distinctive room in the city. And Rocky Mountain Wedding & Elopement Park is a private ceremony site in Estes Park for up to 25, just outside the national park.

How to shop Boulder County venues

Look at the Saturday, not the starting price. Almost every venue here publishes a cheaper weekday or winter rate, and that is what the median is made of. Find each venue's peak Saturday line before you compare.

Count what is included. Shupe Homestead's $11,400 includes staff and coordination; The St Vrain's $8,500 requires you to add a caterer from its list and a coordinator. Boulder Flower Farm's $3,500 becomes $15,500 at 100 guests. These are not comparable until you add up the same things.

Ask about noise and end times. Farm venues in residential areas carry limits. Lone Hawk Farm, for example, caps sound at 85 decibels with music ending at 9pm. If dancing late matters, ask first.

Plan for the afternoon storm. Summer thunderstorms build over the foothills most afternoons in July and August. An outdoor ceremony at 4pm needs a covered fallback, and the open-air farms should be asked exactly where it is. Our venue tour questions cover the general version.

Our venue checklist covers the rest of the shopping list, and what a wedding venue costs explains how venue pricing is structured.
