1. Holland Gardens

A garden venue in Holland, about ten minutes outside Toledo, with a gazebo in front of a waterfall, a meadow and an indoor gallery for up to 480. One wedding a day. A ceremony and reception starts at $5,800, a reception at $4,000 and a weekday wedding at $3,000, before food and bar, with a minimum of 140 adults from April to November.

An open loft on Monroe Street downtown that hosts ceremony and reception in one room, with intimate weddings for up to 60 and 10 hours of access. Pricing is on its site.

3. Carranor Hunt and Polo Club

A club in Perrysburg that has hosted weddings for more than five decades, with Founders Hall and a main ballroom for 110 each, a screened porch and a patio, for 35 to 225 overall. Pricing is in its wedding packet.

4. Birchwood Meadow

A barn-style venue on 27 acres in Swanton, next to Oak Openings Metro Park, with a stone fireplace, a stage, a covered patio and room for 300. A 2027 Saturday is $8,400, Friday $7,200 and Sunday $6,500, from 10 am to midnight, and you pick your own caterer and bartenders.

5. Liberty House of Waterville

A Greek Revival house built in 1836 in downtown Waterville, listed on the National Register, with a landscaped side yard, for up to 75. A ceremony and reception is $3,100, a reception only $2,300, and a weekday wedding for 35 or fewer starts at $400.

6. Nazareth Hall

A historic venue established in 1928 on a 37-acre estate on River Road in Grand Rapids, with three ballrooms and three ceremony spaces. Ceremony and reception spaces run $300 to $3,500, food starts at $25 a person, and tables, linens and chairs are free.

Toward Lake Erie

7. Maumee Bay Lodge

The lodge in Maumee Bay State Park on Lake Erie, in Oregon, with a brick patio ceremony and a grand ballroom for up to 330, or a lake overlook package with a tent for 130. Guests can stay in lodge rooms and cabins. Pricing by proposal.

8. Schedel Gardens

A 17-acre garden estate in Elmore with a Japanese garden and reflecting pool and a traditional garden, each seating 300 for a ceremony, plus a pavilion for 300 and a conference center for 90. Pricing on request.

The Aquarium at the Huntington Center downtown holds 175 to 200 and opens onto a terrace.

How to shop Toledo venues

Check the guest minimum. Holland Gardens requires 140 adults from April to November but 100 in winter and 80 on weekdays.
