10 Best Wedding Venues in the Kansas City Metro, Kansas Side (2026 Guide)
The Kansas side of Kansas City is barn country. Johnson County and the farmland west and south of it, toward De Soto, Tonganoxie, Louisburg and Paola, hold some of the most polished barn and estate venues in the region, and most of them publish a full rate card.
The median published starting price is $4,000 (n=29), the largest sample in Kansas.
We cataloged 80 wedding venues across Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood, Lenexa, Kansas City KS and the surrounding counties. Below are the 10 we would point a couple to first, each checked against the venue's own site.
Every venue below is in our Kansas City (Kansas side) wedding venue directory, where you can filter the full list and see published pricing side by side.

How to shop Kansas City (Kansas side) venues
Use the season. Cedar Valley Forest and Bourgmont both cut their rates in winter, and The Boat House's off-season Saturday is a third of its summer price.
Count the weekend. Kill Creek and Whiskey Ridge sell Friday to Sunday packages that include setup and, at Whiskey Ridge, lodging.
Read the bar rules. The English Barn and Stonebriar require their own or approved bartenders. Our venue tour questions cover the rest.
Our venue checklist covers the rest of the shopping list, and what a wedding venue costs explains how venue pricing is structured.
