11 Best Wedding Venues in Laredo & South Texas (2026 Guide)

·5 min read

Laredo is the least price-transparent wedding market in Texas, and it is not close.

Exactly one venue in the entire Laredo and South Texas region publishes a starting price we can use. One. Every other market in this guide series has at least two, and Dallas-Fort Worth has 98. We are not going to compute a median from a single data point, and any site that quotes you an average Laredo venue price is guessing.

This is a publishing habit, not a shortage of venues. Laredo has a large, active and competitive celebration market serving weddings, quinceañeras and sweet sixteens, much of it Spanish-language and much of it operating on relationships and phone calls rather than websites. Plan on calling. Plan on visiting. Do not expect to compare rates from your laptop the way you could in Austin.

We cataloged 22 wedding venues across Laredo and South Texas. Below are the 11 we would point a couple to first.

Every venue below is in our South Texas wedding venue directory, where you can filter the full list and see published pricing side by side.

The one venue that publishes rates

1. Max A. Mandel Municipal Golf Course

A municipal golf course in Laredo with dedicated wedding and banquet spaces, including an indoor ballroom and patio areas with Rio Grande views. Capacity to 280, Spanish-styled.

The only published pricing in the region:

  • Patio Area facility rental: $1,750
  • The Roselyn Ballroom facility rental: $3,500

A 20 percent service charge plus applicable taxes apply to food and beverage purchases. Budget for that: on a $8,000 catering bill it adds roughly $1,600 plus tax.

Being municipal, it is also the most predictable venue in the market. If you want a firm number before you commit to touring, this is where to start.

The Laredo reception halls

Laredo's core market is full-service reception halls, and they are genuinely good at what they do. Most bundle catering, decor, staff and coordination, and most quote by package after a conversation.

2. Paseo Real

A Laredo venue focused on weddings and quinceañeras, with multiple named rooms, a terrace, hacienda styling and in-house coordination. Indoor and outdoor.

3. Altezza Events

A Laredo venue with two locations, Riverview and Southview, positioned as elegant affordable luxury for weddings, quinceañeras and sweet sixteens. 4.7 stars. A pricing brochure is available for download, which is the closest thing to published rates in the market.

Two properties under one operator means you can often solve a date conflict without changing vendors.

4. Los Patios

A Laredo venue with two distinct spaces, El Patio de la Cascada and The Barn. Capacity 50 to 300, 4.8 stars, the highest-rated venue in the region.

A waterfall patio and a barn on one site covers two very different weddings.

5. Salón Chapa

A full-service reception hall and event planning venue with on-site coordination, catering, waitstaff, bartenders and security included. Packages are noted as starting from around $200, which almost certainly refers to a small event or a per-element rate rather than a wedding, so confirm precisely what that covers.

Having security in the package is worth noting. It is a line item that catches people out at venues that do not include it.

6. Virreyes Events

A family-owned full-service venue hosting weddings, quinceañeras and formal celebrations, with customisable packages covering decor, catering, lighting, entertainment and service staff.

7. Mirage Reception Hall

A Laredo reception venue for wedding receptions, rounding out the city's hall options.

8. Laredo Country Club

A private country club with elegant banquet rooms and outdoor event spaces, capacity 50 to 500, with fine and casual dining, golf and tennis. The largest capacity in Laredo and the traditional upscale choice.

Uvalde, Hondo and the ranch country

The eastern half of this region, along the highway toward San Antonio, is a different market with smaller and more distinctive properties.

9. Uvalde County Fairplex

A large South Texas fairplex and event center hosting weddings in its indoor auditorium, capacity to 600. The scale option for the region, and county-run, which usually means reasonable rates.

10. Chateau Claire Boutique Bed & Breakfast

A historic boutique bed and breakfast in Hondo with an associated event venue, positioned for elegant intimate celebrations. Perfect 5-star rating.

The most refined small property in South Texas, and Hondo is 40 minutes west of San Antonio, which makes it reachable for a wedding drawing guests from the city.

11. Live Oaks Bed & Breakfast

A Uvalde lodging property with cottages, pool grounds and an event venue offering wedding packages. Capacity to about 18, 4.8 stars.

Genuinely tiny, and exactly right for an elopement or a wedding of a dozen people who all stay the weekend.

What to ask on a South Texas tour

Ask for the all-in number, not the rental. Most Laredo venues are full-service and quote by package. That is actually helpful, but it means the comparison between two venues is a comparison of packages, not rooms. Get an itemised breakdown from each.

Ask what the service charge is. Max A. Mandel publishes 20 percent on food and beverage. Assume something similar elsewhere and ask directly, because on a full-service package it is a large number.

Ask whether security is included. Salón Chapa includes it. Many venues charge separately, and in this market security is standard rather than optional.

Ask about language and vendor networks. Much of the Laredo wedding industry operates in Spanish, and venues typically have deep relationships with local caterers, DJs and decorators. Ask the venue who they work with; in a market with little online pricing, the venue's vendor list is the most valuable thing they give you.

Consider San Antonio. Laredo is two and a half hours from San Antonio, which is the cheapest major venue market in Texas at a $2,500 median across 18 published venues. If your guest list can travel and you want price certainty before touring, our San Antonio guide covers it.

Book outside summer. South Texas summers are among the hottest in the state, routinely above 100 degrees. November through March is the comfortable season here, and it is the right window for anything outdoors. Our best months guide has the regional calendar.
