The Best Months to Get Married in Oklahoma (2026 Seasonal Guide)

·3 min read

Oklahoma's wedding calendar is shaped by two hazards: spring storms, with tornado season peaking in May, and summer heat, with July and August often near 100 degrees. Fall is the best season of the year, and winter is mild enough for an indoor wedding most weeks.

Oklahoma venues price that calendar in the open. Many charge their top rates in spring and fall and cut them in winter and late summer.

The quick answer

October is the best month to get married in Oklahoma, with late September and early November close behind. Warm days, cool evenings and the calmest weather of the year. It is also peak season, so book a year or more ahead.

April and May are lovely but stormy, so an indoor or covered plan is essential.

For value, book winter or late summer. Dresser Mansion in Tulsa charges $2,900 for a Saturday from December to March and in July and August instead of $4,100, Vinterra in Bixby takes 20% off in January and February, and Dream Point Ranch takes $1,000 off in January, February, August and December.

Season by season

Spring (March to May)

Warm and green, and the start of severe weather season, with thunderstorms, hail and tornado watches most common from April into June. March is a shoulder month at many venues: Vinterra takes 10% off, and Dream Point prices March and April at its regular rather than high-season rate. May is peak, storms and all.

Summer (June to August)

Hot, and in July and August often very hot. June is still in demand; July and August are discounted at several venues, including Dresser Mansion, Vinterra and Dream Point (August). Plan an evening ceremony and an air-conditioned reception.

Fall (September to November)

The peak. September is still warm, October is ideal, and November is cool and starting to fall in price. Cedar Deer Lodge near Stillwater charges more for September and October Saturdays. Check football weekends: OU home games fill Norman hotels and OSU games fill Stillwater. In Broken Bow and Hochatown, fall weekends fill the cabins.

Winter (December to February)

Mild but changeable, with occasional ice storms. This is the cheapest season at venues that publish seasonal rates, and Willow Creek Mansion in Broken Arrow charges $3,600 for a Saturday from December to February instead of $4,100.
