16 Best Wedding Venues in the Tri-Cities, TN (2026 Guide)

The Tri-Cities has the widest wedding venue price range in Tennessee, and it is not close.

At one end, Goshen Valley Venue publishes $1,200 for an off-season Sunday. At the other, Cherokee Creek Farm publishes $41,500 for its largest all-inclusive weekend package, which is the highest published venue price anywhere in the state. Both are within about 45 minutes of Johnson City.

That range is not noise. It reflects a market where two very different things are happening at once: a deep supply of family-run farms and barns competing on price in the $2,000 to $4,000 band, and a small number of all-inclusive estates selling entire wedding weekends at a tier normally associated with much larger cities.

The metro's median published starting package is $4,000, the highest of any Tennessee market and well above the statewide median of $3,338. That ranking is real but it tells you almost nothing useful on its own, because it is the midpoint of a range no other market comes close to. The tiers below are the actual information.

The all-inclusive tier

Cherokee Creek Farm in Jonesborough is the most expensive published venue in Tennessee, and it is worth understanding what that number covers before dismissing it. The property pairs an 1830 farmhouse with a 7,000 square foot creekside barn, and it sells complete packages rather than room rental:

• Luxe Estate, 100 guests: $23,500 weekend, $22,400 mid-week

At the Luxe Estate tier that works out to roughly $235 per guest for an all-inclusive weekend. Whether that is expensive depends entirely on what you would otherwise be assembling separately, and the venue publishes a per-guest figure of $100 to $150 on top of package rates, so read the contract carefully.

The reason to know about it even on a modest budget: it anchors the top of the state's published range, which means every other number in this guide sits below it.

The farms with published ladders

Goshen Valley Venue, on a historic family farm in Rogersville, publishes the clearest seasonal rate card in the metro:

Event planning is included. A December Sunday at $1,200 is the cheapest full venue booking published in this market, and the peak Saturday at $3,900 is still below the metro median.

Calloway Farm in Kingsport is a family-owned renovated barn publishing two packages: $3,700 for the two-day Ultimate Farm Elegance (Friday and Saturday), or $2,200 for the Exclusive Farm Micro Wedding Retreat, one day, up to 100 guests. A hundred-guest wedding at $2,200 is one of the better values in East Tennessee.

Maple Lane Farm in Johnson City is a 23-acre property with barns, a pavilion, a pond and a waterfall, hosting 20 to 200. It publishes three tiers: Basic Bundle $4,000, Premium $5,000, Deluxe $5,500, all requiring a $1,000 non-refundable deposit. It also lists photography sessions at $45 an hour, which is a useful add-on to know about.

The Farm at Jackson Bridge in Jonesborough publishes packages starting at $3,500 for an 8,000 square foot venue overlooking the Nolichucky River and the Appalachians.

The distinctive ones

Waterstone Wedding and Event Venue in Johnson City is built inside a restored 60-year-old rock quarry, with a 70-foot waterfall as the ceremony site, multiple indoor and outdoor reception spaces and on-site accommodations. There is nothing else like it in the state. Pricing is on inquiry.

Nolichuckey Bluffs Cabins in Greeneville is a glass chapel on the Nolichuckey River with cabin lodging on site, capped at 50 guests, rated 4.9. If you want a small destination wedding where everyone stays on the property, this is the clearest expression of that idea in the region.

Boone's Falls Event Venue in Johnson City puts a rustic barn on historic Boones Creek with a waterfall backdrop, for up to 200.

Glamping Retro in Erwin rents the entire facility, with treehouses and luxury tents, for couples who want the accommodation to be part of the event rather than a logistics problem.

Proffitt Farm in Gray is a 300-acre property with a restored 1800s barn and hilltop ceremony sites, booking full-day exclusive with tables, chairs and a bridal suite included, at a 4.9 rating.

The downtowns

The Tri-Cities is really four walkable downtowns, and each has a room worth seeing.

Monarch on Main in downtown Johnson City is a 10,000 square foot restored 1900s department store with exposed brick and original hardwood. The Gallery is the other Johnson City downtown option, 5,000 square feet with classic architecture, maple floors, mountain views and full in-house catering.

Allandale Mansion in Kingsport is a historic multi-venue city facility, which is the detail that matters: municipally owned venues consistently price below comparable private ones, and this one explicitly markets flexible pricing across guest sizes. It is the value pick among the historic properties here.

Foundation Event Facility in downtown Bristol is a multi-room venue handling 15 to 450 guests with in-house catering through Bristol Catering Company. That upper bound is the largest published capacity in the metro.

General Morgan Inn in downtown Greeneville is a historic hotel with multiple event spaces, full catering and rooms on site, which solves the out-of-town guest problem in one booking.

The Heritage in Jonesborough sits on seven acres taking 200-plus guests, with in-house catering, linens, décor and full cleanup included in the package. Jonesborough is the oldest town in Tennessee, which makes it a reasonable anchor for a weekend of guest activities.

Hidden Meadows in Afton is a 45-acre farm seating up to 290 indoors, the largest indoor barn capacity in the region.

What to ask on a Tri-Cities tour

Ask whether the price is a rental or a package. This is the critical question in this market. Cherokee Creek's $23,500 and Goshen Valley's $2,900 are not measuring the same thing at all. One is most of a wedding, the other is a building for a day. Get every quote broken into venue, catering, bar, rentals and coordination before you compare anything.

Ask about the off-season rate. Goshen Valley publishes a December Sunday at $1,200 against a peak Saturday at $3,900. Most farms here have a similar spread even when they do not post it.

Ask about multi-day access. Calloway Farm's $3,700 covers Friday and Saturday. Cogan-style weekend rentals are common in this region, and getting the rehearsal and setup day included is often worth more than a few hundred dollars off the base rate.

Ask about deposits and refundability. Maple Lane publishes a $1,000 non-refundable deposit. That is normal here, but you want to know the number before you fall in love with the room.

Check the actual drive. The Tri-Cities spreads across a wide area, and venues that appear in a Johnson City search can sit in Rogersville, Erwin or Afton, 40 minutes out in different directions. Confirm the address and route your guests before you book.
