15 Best Wedding Venues in Dothan and the Wiregrass (2026 Guide)
The Wiregrass, the corner of southeast Alabama around Dothan, Enterprise, Ozark, Troy, and Eufaula, is the most underrated wedding market in the state. Downtown Dothan has been quietly restoring its historic building stock into event space, the surrounding farmland holds barns and pine plantations at prices that would be impossible three hours north, and Eufaula has some of the best antebellum architecture in Alabama. If your guest list is regional, this area delivers more wedding per dollar than anywhere else we have cataloged.
We cataloged venues across Houston, Dale, Coffee, Pike, Barbour, and Covington counties. Below are the 15 we would point a couple to first.

Quick context on Wiregrass venue pricing
This is the cheapest market in Alabama, and the published pricing shows it plainly. Packages we found run from $300 to $5,200, with most landing between $800 and $3,800. Statewide the median published wedding venue package is $3,000, so the Wiregrass typically clears the same wedding for meaningfully less. This is also the part of Alabama where hourly and time-block rentals are most common, which is why so many local prices look startlingly low. All-in budgets here commonly land in the $14,000 to $22,000 range. See our Alabama cost guide.
One honest caveat that applies across this region: a good number of these venues are rental spaces rather than full-service wedding properties. The low prices are real, and so is the amount you will be sourcing yourself.
Downtown Dothan
1. The Grand on Foster
A historic downtown venue in a building over 120 years old, with ballrooms, a courtyard, and in-house event coordination, for up to 500 guests. The largest and most complete historic option in the region.
2. The Forum
A historic downtown venue with multiple indoor spaces, an urban green space, and a dedicated bridal suite, holding 100 to 400 guests. The outdoor green space in a downtown setting is genuinely uncommon here.
3. The Depot off Main
A restored historic venue offering rentals that include tables, chairs, linens, and kitchen access, published at $1,800 to $4,750. Good value, and the included inventory removes a rental line most couples forget to budget.
4. Bella's Ballroom
A historic downtown venue with several bookable rooms including a ballroom, cellar, and bridal suite, published from $200 for a single room to $3,500 for the ballroom. Run by Bella's Fine Dining, so catering is available in house.
5. WindMill Station
A Dothan venue with multiple named indoor and outdoor spaces, up to 300 guests. The multiple-space layout means ceremony and reception can live in different rooms without a flip.
Barns, farms, and countryside
6. Celebration at Jones Crossing
A family-owned 12,500 square foot barn on nearly 3.5 acres in Dothan, with a courtyard, bridal suite, and multiple on-site ceremony options. One of the largest purpose-built barn venues in the region.
7. Pineneedle
A family-owned venue on a 150-acre pine plantation in Newton, with white indoor and outdoor spaces for 1 to 300 guests. The pine plantation setting is distinctive to this part of Alabama and photographs unusually well.
8. Dalrymple Farms
A rustic barn and outdoor venue in Enterprise for up to 300 guests, with a private dressing room and separate ceremony space.
9. Maria's Vineyard
A Tuscan-style vineyard venue in Dothan with a bridal suite and banquet space, for 20 to 200 guests. The only vineyard-style property in the Wiregrass.
10. The Southerly House
A countryside venue on more than 66 acres offering all-inclusive wedding packages, built around a renovated house. All-inclusive is the exception rather than the rule in this market, which makes it worth a look if you are planning from out of town.
11. The Red Barn on 231
A climate-controlled rustic barn near Brundidge with indoor and outdoor space, published at $800 to $3,500. Climate control in a barn is not a given here, and in a Wiregrass summer it is not optional either.
Historic homes and chapels
12. Shorter Mansion
An 1884 home in Eufaula with indoor spaces and an outdoor pavilion, for 12 to 49 guests. Eufaula's historic district is the best-preserved in this half of the state, and this is its landmark property. Small capacity, so plan accordingly.
13. The Holman House
A historic neoclassical mansion in Ozark hosting ceremonies, receptions, and rehearsal dinners. A strong choice for a formal small-town wedding.
14. Old Providence Chapel
A restored historic white frame church in Clayhatchee offered as a wedding venue, with indoor and outdoor ceremony options for 100 to 150 guests. The classic country chapel, and there are not many left in this condition.
15. The Emporium
A historic downtown Troy venue offering a full weekend experience with multiple event spaces and an outdoor courtyard. Troy's college-town downtown gives guests more to do than the size of the city suggests.
Also worth a look: Oak Acres Venue in Troy, a 7,500 square foot remodeled house at $1,500 to $5,200; The Ponds @ Andalusia, a luxury venue on a 62-acre horse farm; Hawkins Ridge near Eufaula, with on-site lodging; The Ozark Warehouse, a historic brick cotton warehouse in downtown Ozark; Beaver Flats Cabin in Dothan for small weddings up to 75; and Hideaway Events in Troy. For elopements and very small weddings, The Rental Studio in Ozark ($1,500) and Small Special Occasions in Headland ($375 to $975) are both built for it.
How to choose among them
- Decide how much you are willing to source. The rental halls here are genuinely cheap and genuinely bare. The all-inclusive properties cost more on the venue line and often less in total once you have paid for rentals, catering, and coordination. Compare the whole number.
- Confirm climate control. Summer in the Wiregrass is the hottest part of Alabama. Ask specifically whether a barn is climate controlled, not just whether it has fans.
- Check capacity early. The historic properties here are beautiful and often small. Shorter Mansion tops out at 49.
- Ask about severe weather policy for spring dates, and get it in writing. Our venue tour question list and wedding venue checklist cover the rest.
